Merry Christmas to you!

Whether you have been runner, trekker, cyclist or skydiver – you have all achieved incredible things – a MASSIVE well done to you.

A few of our highlights from this year have been our London to Paris cycle rides where our cyclists pedalled their way to the finish line underneath the Eiffel Tower, our skydivers who have flown through the sky from 10 000ft at airfields across the UK, our trekkers who have conquered Mount Kilimanjaro and The Great Wall of China, and our runners who turned into Batman or Super Woman in a flash and flew their way round our 5k or 10k route – it has been a very busy year indeed! A HUGE well done to you for your admirable efforts with both your challenges and your fundraising.

London’s LARGEST Santa Run was a phenomenal end to our 2017 event calendar. Thousands of Santa’s descended on Victoria Park and completed our 5k or 10k route as they ran, walked or danced their way round! It was fantastic to have over 100 different charities represented on the day, all in a bid to make the world a more charitable place. Everyone went all out with their outfits and our fancy dress competition was our best one yet – even the Grinch made an appearance alongside Christmas presents, crackers and Snowmen!

If you fancy getting dressed up in 2018, we have our annual Superhero Run that will be taking place in Regent’s Park on Sunday 13th May. As mentioned earlier, our 2017 event was a real success – thousands of runners came together to dress as their favourite Superhero and whizz around our 5k or 10k routes. All abilities are encouraged and all types of heroes are welcomed, with a fancy dress competition also taking place – get inventive, our entrants were super-TASTIC this year!

This year, our iconic London to Brighton cycle was our best yet, seeing 4000 cyclists leave the buzz of the city behind and take on the 54 mile challenge. Everyone did such an incredible job of pedalling their way out of London through the beautiful rolling hills of Sussex and down onto the Brighton seafront finish – an unforgettable place to celebrate! We look forward to this ever-growing event in 2018 and hope to see you on your bike. Speaking of cycling, we have had a terrific time on all of our London to Paris cycles this year and we would like to congratulate everyone who took on this 4 day challenge, with their finish line situated in an equally amazing location – that’s right, the foot of the Eiffel Tower!

And we have had a massive number of brave participants this year who have taken to the skies and flown from 10 000ft. It has been truly inspiring to hear your stories and learn why you have decided to skydive for your chosen charity. With locations all around the UK it has never been easier to take the plunge yourself. If you would like to read why one of our skydivers got involved, read Sheryl’s experience here and discover why she decided to take the leap for charity.

If you’ve been one of our explorers, who prefer to keep their feet firmly on the ground, well we can see why with plenty of amazing treks having taken place in 2017. Be it conquering the Great Wall Discovery, climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, discovering the beauty of our Icelandic Lava Trek or watching the stars as you set up camp on our Sahara Dunes adventure – it really has been a most impressive year of challenges!

Our bespoke trips of 2017 have really been something special this year. We loved working with Shelter on their two incredible events – Vertical Rush and Urban Rush. One being a run up Tower 42 and the other an unforgettable 15 mile run through London. We also enjoyed a fantastic colour run for RAF Association – their runners looked like a rainbow as they completed their challenge. We headed up to the Lake District in May for Demelza’s triathlon challenge and their supporters hiked, cycled and canoed all in one day – what an amazing achievement! Penny Appeal gathered a group of their supporters together to conquer the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro this month and they all stayed determined as they made their way to the top. We look forward to working on more bespoke events in 2018.
