Following the global outbreak of Coronavirus we understand you will want to know how it might affect your event – we have therefore created this page to outline what we are doing at Skyline Events and how your specific event or skydive might be affected. You can also see the Government’s current stance by referring to the latest advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).
It goes without saying that the safety of our customers and employees is our priority and we will follow all FCO advice regarding travel overseas as well as UK Government advice on mass gatherings for events in the UK. However, if travel remains open and/or public gatherings are not restricted then we aim to operate your event as planned.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If we have to postpone your event then you will be offered a revised date. If you’re unable to take part on that revised date we will work with you to offer you a suitable alternative or date in the future.
If you cancel your event because you don’t want to travel then our terms and conditions will apply:
- No refund of the booking deposit will be given – but you can transfer to a later date for free
- Refunds of any tour costs for an overseas event will be given according to the percentages in our terms and conditions, the scale of the refund you get will depend on how far in advance you cancel.
Coronavirus is clearly an extremely challenging situation for everybody, but particularly so for small travel companies who are having to run their businesses with little or no income! So if we are forced to cancel an event please do everything you can to help us by transferring to a future date instead of cancelling. This virus WILL pass and we’d be delighted to provide you with the event you booked on a future date.
We will be contacting anyone who is currently signed up to an upcoming event with us with more information about their specific challenge, however, please find below some more information about some of our bigger experiences:
London to Amsterdam
Having monitored the situation across Europe & Government advice carefully, we have made the decision to postpone this event until 2-6th September 2020.
All existing participants have been contacted, and places remain available for anyone who still wishes to sign up.
London to Paris – 15th July
This event obviously passes through both England and France and whether we can operate in July will depend on whether the current restrictions in both countries are lifted – and currently nobody can predict this. We hope the likely duration of restrictions will become clearer in the coming weeks, but at present the event remains scheduled to go ahead as planned. If we are unable to operate the event in July, it will be postponed until September. We will be in touch with all participants regularly by email to keep you informed of the latest situation.
London to Brighton Cycle Ride – 13th September
The event currently remains scheduled to go ahead as planned. We will continue to monitor Government advice carefully but anticipate current restrictions being lifted by mid-September, so please continue training, fundraising and encouraging your friends and family to join you on the ride!
Overseas trips September onwards – all destinations
At present all our overseas trips from September onwards are going ahead as planned. We are hopeful all travel restrictions will have been cleared by then but we will of course observe all advice issued by the FCO and we will be in touch by email regularly to keep all participants updated.
Skydiving – Nationwide
Many of our airfields have now temporarily paused skydiving activities. We have created a dropzone status page detailing all affected airfields and when they currently hope to resume jumping. All affected participants have been contacted.
We are actively monitoring the situation & Government advice and are in regular contact with our airfields. As skydiving is neither a mass participation event, nor a mass gathering we are hoping to keep disruption to our national skydiving programme to a minimum.
All airfields continue to take bookings for the future, and we would encourage any new customers to continue making reservations. Should your chosen date become unavailable, we will work with you to reschedule your skydive when it is safe to do so.
Getting in touch
If you have any further questions please get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 020 7424 5500, we will continue to operate standard office hours throughout. The situation is changing very quickly and it’s natural you might have some questions that aren’t answered above, and we wish to help in any way we can.
Finally we hope all of our customers, and their families are able to stay safe during these unprecedented times, and we look forward to sharing your event experience with you soon.
