What is Nightrider?

Nightrider is a fun and exciting charity cycle ride where you can see London under the moonlit night sky, cycling past iconic landmarks and through historic streets. The first ever Nightrider London took place in 2010 with 300 cyclists and since then has gained tremendous success with over 21,000 cyclists having taken up the challenge to date!

When is the event?

The event will take place over the night of 11 – 12 June 2022.

What time does the event start and finish?

Start time: Approxmiately 22:00 (T.B.C)

If you are cycling the 100km route you can plan for 6-8 hours. This accounts for stopping at the breakpoints en-route. If you are on the 50km route you will be 3-4 hours. You must be able to complete the total distance in 10 hours.

Where does the ride start and finish?

The ride starts from the iconic Lee Valley VeloPark in Stratford where London held the 2012 Olympics.

You will start with a 1mile lap of the road circuit before heading out towards north London. The cycle ride will finish where you begin making your journey there and home even simpler!

Where will the route take me?

Both routes are circular and will take you past many of London’s most famous landmarks. Highlights include Queen Elizabeth Olympic ParkTower BridgePiccadilly CircusTrafalgar Square, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace.

Why is there a 50km & 100km route option?

We want to cater to people of all abilities but still provide a challenge you can feel like you conquered. You will have the option to choose between the 50km and 100km option when signing up.

How much does it cost to take part?

It costs £55 per person. This includes a fully supported ride, complementary water stops and not to mention that we’ll be waiting with your medal at the finish line!

Are refreshments & breaks included?

Absolutely, you can stop off at one of our designated break stops every 25km where snacks and water are offered.

When you reach the finish line you will be offered a breakfast to refuel you for your onward journey (meat and vegetarian options provided).

How will I find my way?

The route will be marked throughout with directional arrows. There will also be the opportunity to download a GPX file of the route before the night.
